Blue is the foundation of our current program. He represents my third dog from the Maplewood lines and is closely tied to the pair that first shaped my understanding of the breed. His pedigree matters—but what he has proven in daily life matters more.
Physically, Blue is a substantial dog, standing just under 28 inches at the shoulder, with bone and presence that are immediately noticeable without tipping into exaggeration. Despite his size, he remains structurally correct to the Boxer standard, carrying himself with balance, athleticism, and durability. He is powerful without heaviness, and his movement reflects efficiency rather than excess.
Temperament is where Blue truly distinguishes himself. He is exceptionally intelligent, highly people-focused, and emotionally steady—traits that have made him both a natural working partner and an easy dog to live with. He possesses a strong natural drive, which we have engaged through scentwork, performance sports, and bite sports, where he has excelled despite beginning formal training later than typical. As he has matured, our focus has expanded to include service dog work, where his clarity of thought and responsiveness have been particularly well-suited.
Equally important is Blue’s off switch. He is capable of intense engagement when asked, but just as content to settle quietly, often choosing to be close—whether that means sharing space with the household cats or curling up nearby at the end of the day. This balance between drive and stability is central to why he has been such a reliable and versatile dog.
Blue has already contributed meaningfully to the program, both as a working partner and as a sire, and he continues to prove himself as he matures. He is not defined by a single role, but by consistency—of temperament, structure, and character—and remains a cornerstone of what we aim to preserve and build upon.

Bowie is a young male from our Blue × Gracie pairing, bred to preserve classic Boxer temperament while emphasizing sound structure, athleticism, and work ethic.
He is a thoughtful, people-oriented dog with a naturally social disposition—confident without being pushy, affectionate without being needy. Bowie shows strong environmental stability for his age and a notable willingness to engage and problem-solve, paired with the kind of humor and expressiveness that makes living with a Boxer so rewarding.
Physically, Bowie is developing with clean lines, balanced proportions, and an athletic outline that reflects both sides of his pedigree. He is maturing slowly and evenly, maintaining leanness and muscle tone while continuing to fill out as expected. His movement is efficient and coordinated, with good reach and drive for a dog still very much in development.
Bowie is currently being raised with an emphasis on foundational training, confidence building, and real-world exposure. He lives as a house dog, participates in daily routines, and is expected to continue into structured training and evaluation as he matures. At this stage, the focus remains on allowing him to grow up correctly—mentally and physically—rather than rushing outcomes.
As with all dogs in our program, Bowie’s future will be determined by what he proves to be over time. He represents both the success of his pairing and the ongoing commitment to thoughtful, intentional breeding.
